Software Engineering Internship

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on, passionate and results-oriented individual majoring in Software Engineering or Computer Science to join our team. Beside some basic experience (university or personal projects or even previous internships) in mobile app or web development, the ideal candidate must be a tech enthusiast who is fascinated by new technologies.

This role is challenging as you will be exposed to a number of different technologies and projects hence we urge only those who are genuinely interested in programming and want to improve their skills to apply.

What will you be doing:

• develop softwares which shall include but not limited to mobile applications, web applications, websites, server applications, back-end applications, algorithms, etc. using native/hybrid or any types of programming languages suitable for the respective software;

• integrate Softwares with any external application programming interfaces (“APIs”);

• conduct fixes of Softwares;

• conduct testing of Softwares;

• produce documentation for Softwares;

• understand client business requirements and translate them into functional, clean and well-documented codes;

• collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and develop projects;

• work with team members following the assigned project management methodology, which includes but not limited to the Waterfall Model, the Agile Model, and etc.

• assist project managers to scope projects and understand the technological aspects of the respective projects;

• assist project managers to understand, monitor and track work progress.

Must:

• Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Experience with either Swift or Java

• Good command of English

• Available for at least 3 months

Bonus:

• Real projects even if they are relatively small

• Familiarity with frameworks such as React, React Native or Node.js

• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket
